What is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?
There are many types of therapy and therapists and what I love about Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is that it’s a very effective talking therapy that focuses on positivity and finding solutions, as the name implies. In our sessions, we talk about what changes you want to make going forward. This is followed by hypnosis, or trance, which is that added extra that really helps those changes happen.
Just to be clear, hypnosis is not like stage hypnotism which is purely for entertainment. You will always be fully in control and I won’t ask you to do anything except get comfortable and relax!
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a modern approach to therapy, rooted in the latest neuroscience. We know from neuroscience that digging and delving into your past and repeatedly talking about your problems can make you feel worse, so we talk mostly about the present and the future. You envisage the changes you want to make and what life could look like for you, one step at a time.
